Our Story
One notebook, planner and diary at a time!
There are no two exactly alike notebooks or planners in Miya's Tales, and this handmade process ensures that every product is charming, unique and exclusive!
The whole process starts from the inspiration I get through the environment that surrounds me, from conversations with friends, from trips I make, from my pets, from hot summer days to cold and rainy winter nights, everything inspires me with new ideas!
I put these same ideas in to the computer, where I make the graphical composition, both the interior layouts and the covers. The entire process is done by me, from design to handmade items. Printing, sheet cutting, lamination and binding are the only steps that counts on the help of machines.
From that moment on, the work is all handmade by me. It's time to bring it all together and create unique and inspiring products.
Each type of article has its own process: some will be sewn in the sewing machine that belonged to my dear grandmother, others will be drilled and bound with rings or screws. In some cases the sheets are counted one by one, as in the case of notebooks that have colored sheets, yes it is a time-consuming process, but loved! The dividers are cut one by one, and the document bags are hand creased. Details that bring a superior quality finish.
One by one, the notebooks, planners and diaries are punched, sewn, cut, folded, hard cover is made, elastic is applied, in a time-consuming manual process. It is in the particularity of each of them that lies the difference and its value.
My goal is to constantly improve the quality of the notebooks produced, both in the design and in the technique and materials used, allowing to present a visually interesting and practical product to use.
